All America Select (AAS) Trial Entry For 2026

From: Jim Green, John Meyer and Jeff Radunz

Our committee would like to encourage all hybridizers to consider making entries in future AAS trial gardens.  Information regarding the AAS program is available on the “Glad World” website at: https://gladworld.org/all-america-select-award/, under the “resources” tab.

If as a hybridizer, you have produced a seedling that you feel is outstanding and would like to see how it will grow and perform in different locations across North America, you can enter your seedling and have it evaluated in 15 different trial gardens. If your seedling is awarded the AAS status, you as the hybridizer may retain the option of introducing the seedling yourself by paying NAGC a $100 fee or you may select a cataloger who will pay the $100 to NAGC.  The hybridizer and cataloger jointly are to decide the amount the hybridizer is to receive for the inventory of the AAS seedling that the cataloger is to receive from the hybridizer to sell.

To make an entry in the 2026 AAS trial gardens, the hybridizer must submit at least 60 healthy corms of each seedling they wish to enter in the trial gardens.  A hybridizer may submit up to three entries per year in the trial gardens.   Please reach out to the committee by March 15th, if you are planning to make entries for the current year.

The NAGC AAS committee will be needing new sites for trial gardens in future years.  Please let a committee member know, if you would be interested in hosting a trial garden in the future.
